FAQs

What is the venue like?

Our venue is a beautiful farmhouse in Astatula, Florida, called Cypress Creek. All events will occur at this location — no additional transportation is needed. *Please note: this venue is in a very secluded area of the property, which is great for noise and privacy but consequently has limited lighting. Please be mindful of this as you're leaving, as there is about a 15-minute stretch of time where lighting is limited until reaching some of the main roads in the area.

Can we bring our children to the wedding?

We love kids (especially yours!). However, we've decided to keep our celebration an adult-only affair, with the exception of children within our immediate family only. We hope you understand and can make arrangements for childcare during the event.

What is the dress code?

We suggest semi-formal or formal attire for our wedding — whatever that means for you! Ultimately, as long as you're not in white, the bride will be happy. :)

Will there be transportation provided to and from the venue?

Our ceremony and reception are all in the same area, so no need to coordinate any transportation once you're already at the venue. However, to get to and from the venue from your home or hotel, we recommend arranging your own transportation as needed. If you're planning on drinking alcohol, we HIGHLY recommend a rideshare option, as it's much safer and it gets VERY dark around our venue (limited lighting in this area for about 15 minutes while leaving). Some of the nearby hotels may provide shuttles to local areas, but we recommend asking their concierge directly about when and where they travel to.

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

We have carefully curated our guest list and have accounted for everyone attending. Therefore, we kindly request that only those invited on the invitation attend. If you have specific concerns or questions regarding this, please reach out to us directly.

Will dinner be served at the wedding?

Yes! We have an amazing caterer that will be serving a delicious latin-style buffet. This includes items like tostones, beef empanadas, mojo chicken, pernil asado, yucca, platanos, arroz con grandules and more. We'll also be providing chocolate cake and several dessert options. If you have any other dietary restrictions or allergies, please indicate so when you RSVP!

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! (Please drink responsibly!)

Is there a gift registry for the wedding?

Your presence is the greatest present we could ask for! We have all that we need, so your attendance is the best gift we could receive. However, if you would like to contribute something additional, we do have a Honeymoon/Wedding Fund Registry on this site under the "Registry" tab, in which you would just click on the photo or text under the photo to get started. *Note: the registry does charge a small processing fee, so you're also welcome to bring a monetary gift to the wedding (we will have a card box available).

Are there any accommodations available for out-of-town guests?

Yes! Please see our Accommodations page for suggested nearby hotels. You may also find better deals on short-term vacation rentals on sites like Airbnb or Vrbo.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Yes! We have no issues with you taking photos throughout the event and encourage you to snap away! That being said, we also want you to feel like you can be fully present throughout the night. That's why we've hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture all our special moments with you so you don't have to. Don't feel discouraged from taking photos, but know that we have you covered if you miss the perfect photo opp!

What time should I arrive?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. We recommend arriving between 15 and 30 minutes beforehand to give you ample time to park and settle into your seat before the festivities begin. Please plan for traffic or accidents because the Greater Orlando area always loves to throw surprises our way!

What's this about a "Friends & Familymoon" cruise?

We want to extend the celebration with you! People always say weddings go by too fast, so we want to invite you to a "Friends & Familymoon" cruise that departs the day after the wedding. Please visit the "Friends & Familymoon" webpage to learn more.
